About

Orientation

Therapy is a collaborative process grounded in trust, curiosity, and respect for each individual’s lived experience. I approach therapy as a space for thoughtful exploration, skill-building, and integration, where insight and practical change develop together over time.

Clinical Orientation & Integrative Approach

I work from an integrative clinical orientation that draws from multiple evidence-based frameworks rather than relying on a single, prescriptive model. This allows therapy to remain responsive to the complexity of each individual’s experiences, goals, and context, rather than forcing concerns into a predetermined structure.

An integrative approach emphasizes flexibility, clinical judgment, and collaboration. Interventions are selected intentionally and adapted over time, with attention to emotional regulation, relational patterns, cognition, and lived experience. This framework supports both depth and practicality in the therapeutic process.

Trauma-Informed Foundation

My work is grounded in a trauma-informed framework that recognizes how past experiences, including acute and chronic stressors, shape emotional regulation, relational patterns, and self-perception. Therapy emphasizes safety, pacing, and attunement, allowing clients to engage in meaningful work without feeling overwhelmed or retraumatized.

I have experience working with a wide range of trauma presentations, including military-related stress, interpersonal trauma, and complex developmental experiences. When appropriate, evidence-based trauma interventions such as EMDR are integrated thoughtfully within a broader therapeutic framework, guided by readiness, stability, and individual goals.

Populations & Areas of Work

I work with adults, adolescents, and couples, supporting a range of concerns related to emotional regulation, stress, relationships, and identity development. My work often includes individuals navigating anxiety, mood-related challenges, life transitions, and the impact of cumulative stress.

I also have experience supporting individuals exploring identity-related concerns, including gender and sexuality, within a respectful and affirming therapeutic space. Care is tailored to each individual’s goals, context, and readiness, with attention to safety, autonomy, and collaboration.

Therapeutic Process & What to Expect

Therapy is approached as a collaborative and evolving process rather than a fixed sequence of steps. Sessions are guided by each individual’s goals, pace, and presenting concerns, with attention to both insight and practical application. The therapeutic space is intended to support reflection, skill development, and meaningful change over time.

While therapy may involve addressing difficult material, care is taken to ensure that the process remains grounded, supportive, and responsive. Progress is reviewed collaboratively, and treatment is adjusted as needed to align with changing needs, readiness, and priorities.
